چکیده
Abstract Theorists often conceive of forgiveness as “wiping the slate clean” or something sort with respect to offender’s moral infraction. This raises a puzzle concerning how (or whether) relevant wrongdoing can continue play role in forgiver’s deliberations, attitudes, and practical orientation toward offender once has taken place. For example, consider an agent who forgives her for act only later blame again that very same act. Is morally criticizable breaching commitment internal earlier forgiveness? When, if ever, is “un‐forgiving,” justified? In brief, I argue sometimes, we genuinely forgive wrongdoer particular transgression at some time, justifiably un‐forgive it. Though un‐forgiving underexplored, attending this phenomenon will not illuminate important, overlooked aspect life, but it also help inform extant accounts nature ethics forgiveness.
